The General Ledger accounts have been = set up in such a way that the income accounts begin with 4, expense = accounts begin with a 5, and all the accounts for your department end in = '.01.' Set up a GL Advanced Filter Code of '4*.01' and call it 'INC1' = and another filter code of '5*.01', and call it 'EXP1.'=20 =20 When it's time to run the reports, simply select the GL report you want = to run, check the 'Use Advanced Filter' checkbox, and select the 'DPT1' = or the 'INC1' filter. The system will pull out only the activity in the = income (accounts starting with '4') and expense (accounts starting with = '5') accounts, but only for your particular department.
